Encouraging Comments with ‘DoFollow’

September 5, 2007 by mike · 2 Comments

I’m fairly new to blogging, being only about 1 month into it and I’ve noticed a couple of things:

Readers will be more likely to comment on posts if:

  • They can do so anonymously..
  • Their URL back to their own websites is indexed by Google..

So in order to encourage you to comment on these posts, I have made a couple of changes to my blog :)

  • You can now leave anonymous comments (I might disable this in the future if spam becomes a problem)
  • I have installed ‘DoFollow’, so that links you post are indexed by Google

We allow URLs in comments!
Feel free to comment on this blog :)

By way of an introduction

Hello.

I have just finished setting up my very first blog. I know there are at least a hundred million blogs out there on all manner of topics. Maybe there are too many, or maybe they are so popular that the world needs just one more…

“This is my blog. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life…”
- Blogger’s Creed (adapted from the Rifleman’s Creed)

I’ll be blogging on everything, from the perspective of a software contractor, turned Microsoft-technology Micro ISV. Amongst endless rantings you might find a nugget of information or two on starting/running a small limited company, technological points of view and industry information. Of course, if you really want to know what it is like to work on really cool products using the latest technologies, you’ll have to come and work for us!
