Just a quick notice for customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Our office Exchange 2003 server exploded around one hour ago. There was a loud pop and the room filled with light grey smoke. I’m working like the clappers to replace the hardware and restore from a backup image. The power supply unit was 7 years old, which isn’t bad going! (I’m planning to implement a plan of replacing perfectly functional hardware every now and again).

I might even replace it with a new Exchange 2007 server. Watch this space. I will be making a blog post about disaster recovery soon.

Exchange Server 2007 is now up and running in place of Exchange 2003. That has to be the quickest migration ever performed!

All services up and running. And the new features of Exchange 2007 (for mobile access especially) are very useful :)
